11th Annual Vanier College BDC Case Challenge set for February 13-14, 2016 - Canadian Institute of Marketing a sponsor
The 11th annual Vanier College BDC Case Challenge will take place on Saturday February 13 and Sunday, February 14, 2016. Thirty two colleges and cegeps will be in Montreal for the weekend activity that has become one of the most prestigious collegiate marketing case competitions in Canada.
"We are so pleased to see the evolution of the Case Challenge over the years," says David Moscovitz, Vanier team coach and organizer of the marketing competition. "Although many colleges have been competing in the Case Challenge for several years, there’s a new generation of students and coaches in this year’s event as teachers retire and new ones take over training teams for this event, and as new colleges competed for the first time this year. The Case Challenge has inspired marketing students across Canada for the past ten years and we are proud that it continues to do so."
The BDC is proud to be a long-time partner of this Case Challenge. "We believe in the importance of supporting youth education and playing an active role in helping students gain practical presentation skills and apply their marketing knowledge. It’s a great way to learn while having fun," stated Michel Bergeron, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Public Affairs at BDC.
Round One of the 2016 competition will take place on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel (Montreal Airport), 7000 Place Robert-Joncas, (514-339-5333). Presentations begin at 10:00 AM and run until 5:00 PM on Saturday. Because of the large number of participants, there will be three theatres of eleven presentations on Saturday. That evening, the top two teams from each of the three theatres will be announced at a gala dinner at 7:00 PM. These top six teams will then go on to compete Sunday morning, February 14.
Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing accredited by the Canadian Institute of Marketing
The Canadian Institute of Marketing has accreditied the Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing of The Business School, Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning. Graduates of the Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing may apply to the Canadian Institute of marketing for Graduate, Associate, or Professional membership. The Institute's Registrar reviews the application of a graduating student and grants a level of membership based on academic achievement in marketing, which may extend beyond The Business School, Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, and length and depth of experience. An applicant who has graduated from the Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing would be granted at least Graduate membership and may use the post nominal, G,CInst.M after being granted membership.
